There is a very fine hairline crack in the surface of the horn but there is no movement or instabilityIt has a silver coloured collar with engine turned decoration and a blank oval cartouche

It has a circular heelplateThe neck of the spur is cast with a fist

They are in good condition with only a few light foxing marks on the paper and a few scratches on the frames

19th Century Mexican Spur - Spur302 bridle the moving parts were supposedThis old steel spur has a wide heel band. Traces of silver decoration remain on one side of the neck and the heel band. It has a thick neck which it ends in a large eight pointed rowel. Both swinging buttons remain. Internal width 7. 5cm (approx 3"), neck 6. 5cm (2"), rowel 8. 5cm (3")Weight 342g (12oz) Ref : spur302
