In its fifth generation, Chevy decided to add a factory supercharger. The ZL1 received the same motor as the 2nd generation Cadillac CTS V, but this motor produced a whopping 580 hp. For the 6th Generation the ZL1 received the same supercharged LT4 found in the C6 Z06. Similarly, the 3rd Gen (16 19) CTS V also shared this motor and had more crossover parts
