Rain Curtain Approaching Manhattan (7) - July 6th, 2020 Size:9x12 while the path to theA Rain Curtain or a Precipitation Shaft (to use the official meteorological term), is a weather phenomenon, visible from the ground at large distances from the storm system, as a dark vertical shaft of heavy rain, hail, or snow, generally localized over a relatively small area. For some reason, I'm crazy about them. I think they are so beautiful. The Rain Curtain seen here is falling over New Jersey. This photo is almost identical to "Rain Curtain
